REUPHOLSTER
Do you have an armchair or sofa that is in need of an overhaul? It may be an old inherited piece of furniture that is sagging and a bit battered or something more current that the cat has destroyed the arm of! Don't throw it away, have it reupholstered. I will strip the piece down to the bare frame and using either traditional or modern techniques, rebuild before finishing in a fabulous new fabric.

"It’s great, in our ‘throwaway’ society, to be able to give something old and loved, but a bit world weary, a new lease of life. That’s exactly what Alison did with my 50 year old much loved chair. The photographs she took during the process show its rebuilding from the basic frame, back to a beautiful, upholstered armchair. It looks great and it is extremely comfortable!

If you can't find just what you want on the high street, why not have it made! Chairs, sofas, footstools and headboards can all be made to order from new solid wood frames. The frame makers are local and are happy to make bespoke items, to fit into that exact space and fabric can be sourced to match or contrast with your existing items. Made to measure cushions are also available.

All upholstered items large and small, old and new, domestic and commercial are restored and brought up to date in look, feel and to the relevant fire safety standards.
Home visits are available, offering a wide variety of fabric samples.
